The characteristics and application of titanium plate are introduced

Titanium and titanium alloy is characterized by light weight only half of steel, strong strength, heat resistance, low temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, etc., is called the "metal of the future". Pure titanium has plasticity, and the elongation of high purity titanium can reach 50-60%, but pure titanium has lower strength and hardness than titanium alloy. Titanium alloy is achieved by strictly controlling the appropriate impurity content and adding alloying elements. Impurities in titanium have a great impact on its mechanical properties, especially oxygen, nitrogen, carbon and other elements can greatly improve the strength of titanium, but the plasticity will reduce, titanium alloy has good mechanical properties. Titanium and its alloy not only in the aviation, aerospace industry has a very important application, but also in the chemical industry, petroleum, metallurgy, power generation, tableware, watches, jewelry and many other industrial and consumer products are more and more widely used.

Titanium technical parameters:

Titanium chemical Code: Ti (Titanium)

Titanium density: 4.507g/cm3

Melting point of titanium: 1668℃

Boiling point of titanium: 3000℃

Application of titanium plate:

1. Pure titanium, titanium alloy (alpha-beta) raw material color is gray, while Beat titanium is dark gray.

2. The tensile strength of Beta titanium is better than that of titanium alloy (alpha-beta), while the tensile strength of titanium alloy (alpha-beta) is stronger than that of pure titanium. Suitable titanium plate should be selected according to the structural strength or function of each part of titanium glasses.

3. Beta titanium has considerable superelasticity, but its ductility is lower than that of titanium alloy (Alpha-Beta) and pure titanium.

4. Due to the fragile nature of titanium caused by oxygen and hydrogen inhalation, the welding process of titanium glasses should be protected by high purity argon.

5. Choose suitable titanium welds. Titanium welds require high welding strength and good fluidity.

6. Hydrofluoric acid (HF) can effectively remove oxide layer from titanium surface. With the continuous improvement of technology, reasonable price, light and comfortable volume and the characteristics of titanium without nickel, the market demand for titanium glasses is increasing day by day. We believe that titanium will become the best engineering material for glasses.
